So in this part 3 of How are you staying Healthy, I’m going to give you some recipes and ideas that you’ll be able to take with you, provided you have a kitchen or something to store or prepare these.

So for ideas

Take your favourite quiche recipe… and bake them in a muffin tin. You’ll have small quiches that are easy to eat on the road a easy to transport!

You could make a trail mix with chocolate kisses, nuts and oats and such

Chocolate (always a good idea)

Biscuits (either American “Cookies” or Scones or whatever)

I don’t know about the rest of the world, but in Australia, we have cuppa soups. Pack a thermos and then all you need is the packet and hot water, which you can get out of most taps.

You can also make a salad in a container and pack a fork (or not, just depends on how dirty you want your fingers to get)

Fruit

Carrots (easy, and good for you)

Lots of Water (always a good idea)

  1. Mix up 2 cups of Almond meal, 1 egg and whatever spices and herbs you want
  2. On a tray between two bake sheets squash the mixture to be about 2-3mm thick
  3. cut into pieces
  4. bake for 15-20 at about 180°C
  5. cut again and serve

Pack your favourite Healthy muffins for a treat along the road.

When you’re travelling it’s good to balance the healthy with the not healthy. (Like in life.) So make sure you’ve got a few healthy snacks to balance all the chocolate and chips!
